VAAES lab review program: How does your lab stack up?

As an association focused on value-added services, VAA’s education arm, Virginia Asphalt Association Educational Services, LLC (VAAES), will be launching the Asphalt Lab Review program in January 2021. This program will be a by-request service for VAA members and others with asphalt labs. VAA technical staff will review the equipment, set-up, and operations of asphalt labs to assess compliance with AASHTO, VDOT, and other criteria. Labs that pass the inspection will receive a letter from VAA that will be suitable for framing. In the event deficiencies are noted in the review, a letter will be provided to the company contact explaining what was observed. If the company corrects the deficiency or deficiencies, they can request another no-cost review.

This service will be complimentary for VAA members located in Virginia. The review is complimentary for members outside of Virginia, and only associated travel expenses will be charged. Non-VAA members can also request this program for a fee.

Take advantage of this new service. Lab reviews will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis in coordination with VAA technical staff availability. Register today and see how your lab stacks up.
