VAA makes final plans for 70th Annual Meeting

June is right around the corner, and so is the 70th Annual Meeting of the Virginia Asphalt Association. The VAA Team visited The Greenbrier Resort in early May to tour meeting spaces and finalize the meeting details with resort planners. While not wanting to “let the cat out of the bag,” VAA delegates will get to experience unique and historical places at the Greenbrier.

The Annual Meeting golf tournament on Wednesday, June 16, still has a few openings for golfers. If you would like to play golf on the same course as the PGA’s Greenbrier Classic, then do not miss this opportunity. Likewise, a few golf tee times on Friday are available, but Thursday’s golf slots are filled. To play the Meadows Course, contact the Greenbrier Golf Course directly. On Thursday, the Wine and Dine Outing is sold out. Attendees will get to see and dine in the Greenbrier’s Culinary Institute located in the Bunker’s cafeteria. At the time of publication, a few slots remain for Sporting Clays at Kate’s Mountain and fishing on the Greenbrier property. If you and your family want to experience the other activities at Greenbrier, please call ahead and make reservations. Due to COVID restrictions, many activities have capacity limits.

If you have not registered for the meeting, do not miss this excellent opportunity to enjoy the Greenbrier in June and catch up with old friends and make new ones. As of May 6, more than 150 people have registered to attend. The meeting schedule and registration information can be found on the VAA website. Rooms at the hotel are scarce, so take advantage of other local lodging options if you cannot stay at the Greenbrier. See you in June!
