Time is Running Out for In-Person VECAT MCS Classes

The 2022 paving season is right around the corner, do you have your credentials? If not, the Virginia Education Center for Asphalt Technology offers two ways for you to obtain a VDOT credential, in-person instruction and online learning. The in-person classes are halfway done, so if you are a face-to-face learner, only a few opportunities remain.

Remaining in-person schedule:

  • Asphalt Plant Level I – February 28
  • Asphalt Plant Level II – March 1 and 2
  • Cold Asphalt Recycling Field – March 8
  • Cold Asphalt Recycling Plant – March 9
  • Full Depth Reclamation – March 10
  • Surface Treatment – March 14
  • Slurry Surfacing – March 15
  • Asphalt Field Level I – March 16
  • Asphalt Field Level II – March 17
  • Asphalt Mix Design – March 22 to 25

Along with the VECAT MCS classes, two more Balanced Mix Design certification classes will be held on March 2-3 and March 3-4, 2022.

Remember, all but the Asphalt Mix Design class, Full Depth Reclamation class, Cold Asphalt Recycling–Field class and Cold Asphalt Recycling–Plant class are available for Fast Forward Funding. This funding is only available to residents of Virginia. Make sure to take advantage of this great program to reduce your costs.
