On Wednesday, March 9, the first 2022 Regional Reconnect Reception took place at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in Roanoke, Virginia. This reception provided an opportunity for VAA producers and affiliates along with Virginia Department of Transportation leadership from the surrounding local districts to meet in an informal setting and strengthen established and new relationships. After a couple of years of COVID keeping people apart, this reception was a refreshing way to get industry and agency together to talk in person. With new challenges in the 2022 paving season, these regional receptions are a great way to connect industry leaders and provide a space to open communication, generate new ideas and foster stronger relationships. The next Regional Reconnect Reception will be held on Wednesday, March 23, at the newly named Virginia Credit Union Stadium – Home of the Fredericksburg Nationals, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
