McGhee Announces New VDOT District Engineers

Cathy McGhee, PE, VDOT chief deputy commissioner, announced that Todd Stevens and Dale Totten had been selected as new district engineers.

Todd Stevens has been selected as the new VDOT Staunton District engineer. He will lead the transportation program for 11 counties in the district, which covers more than 7,000 miles of roads. He will also support highways in seven cities and 27 towns in the region.

Stevens received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. He holds a professional engineering license in Virginia.

Dale Totten has been selected as the new VDOT Richmond District engineer. In this role, he will lead the transportation program for 14 counties in the district, which covers more than 18,000 lane miles of highway and more than 3,000 structures. He will also support highways in four cities and 15 towns.

Totten received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He holds a professional engineering license in Virginia.
