As mentioned in the June Asphalt News newsletter, the first golf tournament of the year is right around the corner. The Richard J. Schreck Scholarship-NOVA Golf Tournament is scheduled for August 6. With a shotgun start at 9 am, participants will be enjoying the Bull Run Golf Club located in Haymarket, Virginia. The cost to play is $200 per person or $750 per foursome. New for the NOVA tournament is a unique auction to benefit the scholarship. The three highest bidding teams will get to play six holes of golf with Ron White. Ron has announced his retirement from Superior Paving Corporation after 40+ years. Not only has he had tremendous impacts on Superior Paving, but he has been heavily involved with VAA and NAPA.
The three winning teams will be playing with five players. Since Ron is remarkably consistent on the golf course, these three teams will see their odds of winning soar. The bidding will begin at 8:45 am on August 6. Come with a stack of cash or valid credit/debit card to secure six holes with Ron, improve your teams’ odds of winning, and support VAA’s 2021 RJ Schreck Scholarship.
