The Richard J. Schreck Scholarship Committee received 21 applications for consideration this year, our highest number to date! The Committee met on May 18 to review each application in detail. While all applicants proved to be excellent candidates, the committee had the difficult task of picking 14 of the most qualified. The scholarships are being distributed in $5,000 increments to each successful candidate and announced at the upcoming VAA Annual Meeting at the Greenbrier. While all applicants are deserving, the committee only has a limited amount of funds available. As educational costs continue to climb, we know there are even more students in need. So we welcome your help and support for this worthy cause. Our next fundraising event is the NOVA Golf Tournament at Bull Run Country Club on August 13. Be on the lookout for more information related to this event. The three RJS Golf Tournaments held throughout the year are our primary means of fundraising.
